Stock tip

my stock tip is to invest in verizon. They just came out with a revolution in phones. its called the V-CAST. It has video, camera, mp-3, downloadable video, gps and much more.

This Is the smartest thing i have ever heard of and I am Surprised that more people did not think of this or join in. This feels pretty good Altrichter said as he filled the tank of his Ford F-150, where the gas price in Minnesota was $2.73. Right now, to be a few pennies over $2, when it's as high as it is? That's a real deal.
A year ago, the retired milk truck driver bought 500 gallons of gas at First Fuel Banks locking it in at the then-current price of $2.03 a gallon. He taps that reserve whenever gas rises above that mark. If the retail price drops below $2.03, he can leave his reserve alone and buy elsewhere.
First Fuel Banks claims it is the only retailer in the country where customers can buy gasoline for the future and hedge against rising prices. It advertises no service charge and no storage charge, just a $1 lifetime membership fee. They even have their current prices available on their website.
Altrichter said one of his neighbors got in at First Fuel Banks several years ago and is now is withdrawing from a reserve that cost him 99 cents a gallon. How about that he said.

Iran has admitted to succesfuly enriching uranium. They are threatening to use there weapons and have been quoted as saying that Israel should be blown off of the map. There are some facts about Iran's uranium enrichment which are quite interesting. The islamic community actually hials iran for making achievements in this area. Iran is diliberatly disobeying the UN and its orders, so the UN now needs a plan B.

Stock Tip for the Week

My stock tip for the week is more a piece of advice. Everyone is complaing about gas prices and how they are only going to get worse, well if you are so convinced that they are going to get worse then my advice would to be to buy stock and watch your money rise with gas prices. I think that gas prices will level off and even head back down, but if you are convinced they are going to rise then have your money work for you and use it to your advantage.

Consumer Protection

There are many pros and cons to consumer protection. The Bureau of Consumer Protection's mandate is to protect consumers against unfair, deceptive, or fraudulent practices. The Bureau enforces a variety of consumer protection laws enacted by Congress, as well as trade regulation rules issued by the Commission. Its actions include individual company and industry-wide investigations, administrative and federal court litigation, rulemaking proceedings, and consumer and business education. In addition, the Bureau contributes to the Commission's on-going efforts to inform Congress and other government entities of the impact that proposed actions could have on consumers. There are certain things that consumer protection looks out. It makes sure that the research is done so that the customer can be confident in the product that they are buying.

I think that consumer protection is a good thing. Due to the research and precautions that must be taken, many jobs are more profitable. Because of consumer protection my dad sends bussines to local garages who can do repairs and safetyt check the vehicles so that the consumer is protected and they do not get jipped.

Prisoner Abuse In Iraq

Prisoner abuse by U.S. personnel in Iraq was apparently not limited to the Abu Ghraib prison. The New York Times reported members of a shadowy U.S. military unit turned one of Saddam Hussein's torture cells into their own interrogation cell.
The paper said the so-called Black Room was part of a temporary detention site at the secret headquarters of the unit known as Task Force 6-26. Some of the abuse included beating prisoners with rifle butts and using detainees for target practice in games of jailer paintball.
The report is based on interviews with more than a dozen civilian and military Department of Defense personnel who worked with Task Force 6-26. Virtually all of them were granted anonymity to encourage them to speak candidly without fear of retribution.
The commander of the Special Operations Command said all the allegations will be taken seriously.

BOMBS OVER BAGHDAD

Police said at least 37 people were killed and 95 were wounded Sunday in car bombings and mortar attacks in the Shiite slum of Sadr City in Baghdad.

Two car bombs exploded at a market shortly before sundown and were followed by four mortar rounds.

Elsewhere, police said a roadside bomb targeting a police patrol on a busy street in a mostly Sunni area of Baghdad killed at least six people and wounded 12. Across the city, drive-by shooters killed three people in a car. A rocket landed near a house, killing one occupant and injuring two others.

About 20 miles south of Baghdad, gunmen ambushed and killed a police major as he headed to work.

Port Deal

The Homeland Security Department did at first object to the takeover of some U.S. port operations by a company based in the United Arab Emirates. It was the only objection among members of a government committee that eventually approved the multi-billion-dollar deal without dissent.
The department's objections were settled later in a review, after D.P. World agreed to a series of security restrictions.
Meanwhile, congressional leaders, the company and Bush administration officials appear to be moving closer to a compromise. It's intended to derail plans for bi-partisan legislation that would force a new investigation of security issues relating to the deal.
A D.P. World executive said the company would agree to tougher security restrictions to win congressional support only if the same restrictions applied to all U.S. port operators. FULL STORY
